Smart Leader – Average Leader

What separates a smart leader from an average one? An average leader can go with the tide but a smart leader can steer the firm through all kinds of difficulties. Let us see what are the other differences between these two.
A smart leader involves everybody across levels in the working of the organization. He ensures that everybody is assigned some task or the other depending on his capability. He listens to every voice and incorporates every suggestion given by his people, no matter how time-consuming or difficult it is.

Go through ups and downs
A smart leader understands that the organization will go through ups and downs and will take it in his stride. He takes advantage of things when work is progressing well and focuses on how he can make it better. In times of problems he works out ways to get out of the difficult situation so that he can take the firm to success. He maintains a positive attitude at all times and motivates his people to work at their best whether the company is doing well or not. He stays grounded in reality.

Visionary by nature
A smart leader is visionary by nature. He plans for the long haul and does not just focus on short term goals. He concentrates on building the organization for the future. On the other hand, he does not lose sight of the past. He is aware of the mistakes and the successes of the past – he tries to learn from both so that past successes and failures help him make the organization stronger and more stable than before.
A smart leader is a major asset for the company. An average leader can do a lot but he needs to polish his skills and capabilities before he can contribute as much to the business as a smart leader.
