Success is interpreted differently by different people

Success is interpreted differently by different people. Most people equate it to material success like a house or car or money. But is that what success really is?
Success is defined as the positive outcome of one’s actions or attaining what one had hoped or dreamed for. Since everybody’s dreams and desires and objectives are different, their final success is also not the same. So in order to be successful, each person has to be clear about what his/her goals and aspirations are and then try and achieve that.

Unnecessary attention to money

Many people think wealth brings the maximum amount of happiness. In today’s world, wealth is important , there’s no doubting that. It is needed to satisfy  a lot of basic and not so basic needs. But is it the most essential thing for success and happiness? Don’t people give too much unnecessary attention to money? Is it really the key to happiness? Is wealth equal to success or does something else constitute success. Actually the answers to a few questions can give you the true meaning of success.
Does it make sense to amass piles of money and then worry so much about protecting it that you cannot sleep at night? Is it worth it to spend all your time working and earning money and missing out on the joy of watching your children grow up? Will you be at peace if you are so busy that you cannot help your loved ones in their hour of need? If your answer to these questions is no, then to you money is not the ultimate route to success.

When you touch people’s lives

It is when you touch people’s lives and add to their happiness and peace that you are a successful person. It is when you are there with your family and friends when they need you most that you achieve peace and joy and think of yourself as being successful as a human being.
So start looking at life and success differently. Value your family and friends and colleagues and well-wishers and those who work for you. Share your joys and sorrows with one another. Be there for each other. They are the ones who make your life a success. Nobody will remember how much money you had or what job you did, what they will remember is how you made them feel. And if you made them feel loved and looked after and appreciated, you will have lived a great successful life.
