Entrepreneurship is identifying an unfilled gap in the
market and then working to plug the gap to meet market demand. Nobody said it
would be easy. It involves getting into unchartered territory and finding your way
through it. You may progress or you may fail. But failure is the beginning of
your next attempt at success. The past and the mistakes committed then teach
valuable lessons. Don’t dismiss them, learn from them. They are your guiding
light for the present and the future. They help you avoid past failures and
move onto a path which will take you to success, progress and achievement in
the future.
Don’t let the past pull you down. Even if you face
obstacles and problems and failures, these are your opportunities to learn. Do
not get embarrassed or ashamed or upset when you face failure. Accept the
challenge and figure out where you went wrong. Make the necessary adjustments
to see that it does not happen again. And move on.
New
chance to learn something
Every mistake you make is a new chance to learn something
you did not know before. Implement your past learnings into your activities in
the present. If you did not get sufficient funding last time because of poor
supporting data, then get the right information this time and make a stronger
pitch.
Learn from the past, do not stay in it. If you keep
thinking about the past and do nothing about it but complain and feel sorry for
yourself, you will learn nothing and will not be able to move forward. You need
to take the learnings and use the lessons, execute and implement the new things
you have discovered. Only then will you be able to do a good job and go far in
life. Only then will you have a bright and successful future.
You can learn not only from your own mistakes but from
those of others too. People talk about their experiences, they write about
them. Associate with these people, read their writings and grow and develop
yourself and your business. Make the past your strength, your support and your
ally so that you become a successful entrepreneur and leader of men.
