As we go
through life, we get hurt, we suffer losses and pains and these leave a scar on
us. Physical scars leave a mark even after they heal. But emotional and mental
scars also do not disappear. They are reminders of our difficult times and as
such they teach us important lessons in life. They teach us to be strong, to be
wise, to be compassionate and to be good. They build our character and shape
our destiny.
While our mistakes and failures shape our lives, do
remember to leave the past in the past. Learn from the past but do not carry it
into your today and tomorrow. Constant worrying over the past will stop you
from progressing and enjoying the present and the future. Take concrete steps
to ensure that your future is good, step forward to create a better life for
yourself.
It is in our nature to keep thinking about what happened,
what went wrong, and when we do this, it creates unnecessary negativity in our
minds and in our lives. It is a trap that we can fall into very easily. It can
only increase our unhappiness and self doubts – so stay away from such harmful
thinking.
Each
scar is a reminder of a mistake or a failure
Each scar is a reminder of a mistake or a failure – learn
from these. The lessons you learn will help you tackle problems in the future.
You will not make the same mistakes again because you are better prepared now.
Your scars are your teachers and your guide.
Failing once does not mean you will fail again. Getting
hurt does not mean you will get hurt again. But every failure, every hurt,
every scar is an opportunity to learn something. So whatever lessons you learn
from these, internalize them, make them part of your life. That way you can
benefit from them and can control things that cast a negative shadow on your life. For
things you cannot control – accept them for what they are and move on.
Nobody said that life is easy and pain-free. You will get
hurt, you will make mistakes, you will suffer the consequences of those
mistakes. But your entire life does not have to become tragic because of that.
Deal with the pain, tackle the mistakes, draw energy from your failures.
Nothing is permanent in life – not even extreme pain and sorrow. It will pass.
Do not get destroyed by past obstacles. Use them to rise from the ashes and
carve a better future for yourself.
